Best Places to See Fourth of July Fireworks Around Atlanta

“ ... And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there ... “

Have you made plans yet to honor our country, celebrate our independence, and reflect on our heritage? The staff of Alpha Automotive — its service advisors, auto mechanics, and owners — pooled together five of their favorite places to see and enjoy Fourth of July fireworks, festivals, and fun here in McDonough, Hampton, Locust Grove, Ola, and surrounding communities:

  • McDonough — Want to stay near home? Check out the Henry County Fireworks Extravaganza on July 3! Come and join us at Richard Craig Park, 125 S. Zack Hinton Blvd., McDonough. Get there early to enjoy the Car & Motorcycle Show, Firecracker 5K/10K Race, live music and other activities while at our hometown park.

  • Locust Grove— The 4th of July Family Fest is a new event coming to Warren Holder Park, Locust Grove, on July 4th, 2018 (Rainout Date is July 7th). This event is sure to be the largest firework display and family festival in south Atlanta area. The fun-filled day will include live music, Kids Zone, Water Zone, BBQ Contest, over 100 vendors and the largest fireworks display around. For more information visit our website.

  • Stone Mountain— Voted as the “Best Place to See Fireworks in Atlanta” by the Atlanta Constitution and named to USA Today’s list of “Must-See Fireworks,” Stone Mountain Park offers visitors the Fantastic Fourth Celebration, which runs for four days from July 1 to 4. Enjoy a day full of adventure with the park’s great family attractions, the evening laser show, and capped off by the park’s renowned patriotic fireworks finale. Located at 1000 Robert E. Lee Blvd., the park opens at 10:30 a.m. with the laser show and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

  • Kennesaw — Travel up to Kennesaw State University Fifth Third Bank Stadium, 3200 George Busbee Parkway, for the Star-Spangled Spectacular.  Enjoy a low-key family evening that begins at 5:00 p.m. with the Family Fun Festival featuring free games, face painting and balloon artists plus food vendors, exhibitors and vendors. At 8:00 p.m., sit back and enjoy a patriotic concert with performances by the KSU Big Band and KSU Summer Orchestra, followed by a fireworks finale.

  • Fort Bragg — Want to experience one of the most patriotic 4th of July shows in the region? Come out to Fort Bragg’s Main Post Parade Field and watch the Ft. Bragg 4th of July Spectacular shows in the region. Enjoy musical acts, parachute free-fall demonstrations, the popular flag ceremony, fireworks, and food and beverages. Festivities run from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m., but plan to get there early due to expected heavy traffic flow.

We’re committed to our community of friends, customers, and neighbors, and like many of you, believe in giving back. It’s why we donate 25 percent of our net revenue to charities and other community initiatives.
